Senior Adult Ministry Mission Statement
The 39’ers are a vital part of First Baptist Church, and if you are 55 + years old you can experience the joy of being a part of this group. We believe that the Senior Adults are unique individuals with gifts to serve the community and strengthen the Kingdom for Christ.
The Ministry for Senior Adults involves a balanced opportunity for seniors to enjoy both recreational and ministry activities. There is a committee that plans trips that are within a day’s drive from the church as well as over night trips. The 39er’s meet each fourth Thursday of the month at 10:30 a.m. in the Family Life Center. At their monthly meetings they enjoy a guest speaker and lunch which is followed by an afternoon of games and fellowship.
The Senior Adults continually strive to grow in Christ, and actively lead by example, not only within their own generation, but to those who follow in their footsteps.
